Hello Sherm have not caught up with you in a few days, hows the TS working out? Is there anything I can help with? I just log on behind my router and can ping you fine that is at least working now. When I do a trace route with the port however I get blocked, just a thought, but could that port be closed or something, I am not sure of the equipment your using but what ever it is has to have a menu that opens those ports up. Just a thought let me know. Anybody going to play this weekend? It appears i missed some activity last weekend, so anxious to start fraggin or shooting something with the clan, CYA

Wow....looks likes old clans don't die...they just keep comin' back.

2142. I'm still diggin' it. Last time I popped in BF2 was with the y'all (for some reason I have it in my head that the hacks have penetrated BF2 to a greater extent than 2142. Also...the variety of kit in 2142 is awesome. I find it a deeper game...and easier to fit a playstyle.

Quake wars ain't my cup o' tea....the bunnies...they drive me mad!

Crysis (tuesday??) Many systems prolly won't run it. Beta was pretty sweet tho....fun multi.

Frontlines: Still in beta...its okay I guess.

COD4: Only played on X360 (beta). Not too shabby but I REALLY don't like FPS on a console...i just keep gettin' owned.

So...2142 is my fave but I'll try anything. I'll be testing the Crysis waters next week.

I'm working on getting a TS back up....Right now I have to run out, but will leave it up....Psychodogg, Xterm8, and I were working on a few days ago with out luck....I tried something different and now I need some one to test it...The IP is on the home page (71.173.171.169:8767). The server name is just Teamspeak Server. when I get it working outside of the net I will put it back the way it was...

I'm definitely cool with Bf2 as well. I play a great deal of Fear which, in my opinion is a great game. There is also 2142. I know we talked about that before. I have been playing the new COD4 which is to be realeased next week, I believe and that is another good game. Anyway my two cents worth, I'm easy so whatever the clan decides I'm in. I just want to set my sights on Matellicaman's head once in ahwhile and my life is all good. LOL. CYA

i am a bad person, i haven't been around in a long time. Sundays work well for me. I don't open xfire any more cuz it is a pain. you can find me on AIM (rseffco). I run that 24/7. I just got back from vacation so i am set for at least a few more weeks until i go again.

Ok, so I am somewhat around. I still have BF2142, but if we are going to keep playing BF2 I will need to rebuy. I can't find my original key, and I had to blast my hard drive. As for MMO, I already play City of Heroes and Villains. And I already have a Supergroup with a base in both. Anyone interested let me know. As for any others I am not sure, but will try anything except WoW (World of Walking) and EverQuest. Anyone who is interested in RTS might also like Supreme Commander. As for what days? Anything before 6PM Tuesday - Saturday, Anytime Sunday or Monday (All times Eastern.)

I put Sunday for the day...but again...my vote shouldn't count that much right now since my schedule is whack. Friday works equally as well...just tell the babies to stop crying and diet. :-) Re: Battlefield. I play 2142 just about exclusively now...when I can play that is. Even b4 the babies I found myself only playin' BF2 for our "practice" (ROFL) etc. Whats on the horizon? Quakewars? Crisis? What MMOs? Vanguard is a bust. LOTRO seems like it'll have a very narrow audience. AoC seems promising, but they all do before the 1st public beta begins. hehehe I think MMO's would require a much larger player base w/in the clan/guild/whatever, as ppls playtime varies so greatly, and with all MMOs (I don't care what they claim), playtime= level. Alts are okay...but realistically a guild usually stratifies into level groups, which is again usually a reflection of playtime available. crap....at work and bein' called away...anyhow ...maybe I'll edit this later. -J-

What do you guys think about friday? Also, should we be more rigerous in recruiting, or is BF2 kind of burnt out? If so, then we should look into other games. I can also understand your point of view shadowman. Money is never an easy subject. No matter what clan there is, somewhere, somehow, there are expenses involved. I know most of the clans I have participated in or helped has had issues at one point or another with money. You mentioned you guys dont have a server. Thats one way of cutting the cost. We are not saying to be a member you need to pay. Its a way to raise our funds. Now over time after [CK] has grown the cost would be rather minor, we are hoping to have enough members where it would be around a $1-$3 a month. Honestly thats change for me out of a day or two. That and that cost can be paid up front. You can pay in semi-annually (twice a year) or annualy (Yearly). There is no easy way to say but that is the system we have on place. the more members the lesser cost to the individual. We have also discussed a seniority system for [CK]. Members who have played with the clan over time and have become a conerstone of the clan would be able to be granted voting status. Given the fact our clan is new makes this one an open subject on the matter. The clan is open to suggestions as well. If your clan does decide to merge items can be voted on to change the clan to best suit both our needs. I really do appreciate all of the feedback.

I'd just like to say I'm not for merging clans. C.K. members are welcome to play games with our clan, and we can cooperatively use members if playing in matches, but we should not merge and loose what we started. I don't like the idea of charging members for a voice. This clan is free. We don't have a server of our own so there is no cover charge to be a member. If in the future we as a clan decide to create expenses then we could decide if we need cash for votes. I think merging is not the way to go!=-|

Personally, I don't mind too much either way. I've never been a very active or "hardcore" player, so I don't feel I have too much input. Just so long as the casual gamer (myself) doesn't get thrown into an arena where things as in showing up for "practices" or what not becomes mandatory. I just enjoy a group of people that like to come together and have some fun.

I understand completely where your comming from. However, our clan is a little different. It isnt run by one individual. Its run by a voting system, who ever contributes gets to weigh in. There are many forms of contributing as well. $$ is usually the prefered choice however we do exchange for services, web design, sig making, and other forms. We wouldnt just smash the two clans together either, we would play on both servers to see how everyon gets along. If there was a merge your admins would get admin status in our clan. That would be in forums and servers. We would encourage you to keep your clan heritage, a seperate catagory would be created for you (as in ranking and avatars if youd like). If you wanted to go extreme you could have your own WoSL section. Now competeing was never our intention, one of the reasons I selected your clan actually. You could have complete control of competition. There would be a seperate section created for competitors only. The style of governing could be adjusted in the competitor section, in that section it could be ruled by one or a senior group. Now this is all an idea, all if it is open to debate and discussion I personally like to hear from everyone in regards to their feeling on the matter. What it really comes down to is longevity. New clans come and go so quick, the ones that have a plan stay around. Aquiring numbers is the first half of the game, having good policy is the second.

I just wanted to weigh in here. This is something that my old clan did. ChemShadow may want to let you know how it actually went, since this was a decision that was made only with my clan leader and the leader of my old clan, so it was the final straw that made me leave, but a better idea might be to form an alliance with the other clan. That way the clans keep their individuality, but we have more people that would let us enter into competitions if thats the direction that you are looking to go, but that way one clan doesnt really get absorbed by the other. Just my two cents :gun:

I understand running a new clan can be tough, finding recruits even tougher. I am responsible for Recruiting in my clan and it is new as well. Thinking outside of the box I thought, why not find another new clan and join forces? I have a community up, a bf2 32 man server that needs players, and a 50-man vent. Our homepage may suck, but our forums kick ass. This is a serious propostion. I know most of you would want to delete this.
